No summer slump in sight

This week has been pretty eventful, so far. Monday I went to the Roisin Dubh to see a gig of a local metal band named Murdoch. I hope to write more about that gig soon. I played at the Open Mic on wednesday and on Shop Street tonight. During the day I try to prepare the two talks on Python I promised to give at the LBW next week in Killin, Scotland. And this afternoon, I went to play Ultimate Frisbee again. Good game today, I think, I might be getting better.

Tonight, when I came home, I read in the news, that the IRA has announced it is giving up armed fight in Irland for good. Commentators in England and the Republic are expecting, that now the peace process, that had been supended since 2002, will gain momentum again. Let's hope, that this will be indeed be the case and that reactionary die-hards like Northern DUP leader Paisley will not prevail.
